Hywel Dda Health Board has awarded a contract for the supply and installation of fibre ducting and fibre optic cables across the site at Prince Philip Hospital. Due to the challenges faced at Prince Philip Hospital, Hywel Dda are looking to facilitate the development of the data network on site to provide a high-performance, reliable data network. The requirement for installing fibre optic cables at Prince Philip Hospital includes a both the supply and installation of fibre ducts and then fibre cabling within these ducts. The Shared Business Services (SBS) Digital Workplace Solutions framework agreement (Reference: SBS/19/AB/WAB/9411) is compliant with UK/EU procurement legislation. This framework included several potential providers who had achieved inclusion on the framework following a qualification process.
