Tender description

Underwater Electronic Warfare (UEW) in Maritime Combat Systems (MCS), which is part of the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD), proposes to place a contract with Thales UK Limited (Company Number 0868273) (“the Company”) for the supply of capability enhancements to the Sonar 2087 (S2087) System. Time extension options covering existing scope. Option for Step 7 (Procurement and Installation of Capability) Lot 1: The Contract covers the supply of hardware and software (“the Goods”), which includes evaluating potential high-technology-readiness-level solutions from multiple original equipment suppliers (OEMs) by trialling their ability to interface with the S2087 System and deliver the required capability enhancements. When trials are successful, the Goods will be designed, built and installed on the S2087 System, which is in service on Royal Navy frigates.
