Outsourcing Facility only contract for use of operating theatres with the Independent provider The Health Board has historically had significant gaps in capacity and demand across a number of specialties, which have been previously managed through short term solutions such as waiting list initiatives, weekend working and outsourcing high levels of activity to Independent Providers using non-recurrent funding. The impact of severely reduced theatre activity in the Health Board during the Covid19 pandemic has worsened the position to the point where traditional solutions to lengthy and high-volume waiting lists are insufficient and undesirable. SB UHB are looking to direct award a contract for the use of Facilities only with Parkway Clinic. Theatres will be needed for a range of specialities including but not limited to: - Oral Maxillo Facial Surgery - Oral soft tissue excisions/ biopsies - Extraction and surgical removal of teeth - Enucleate cysts - Apicectomy of teeth and removal of metalwork/plates.
