PROCUREMENT OF EXTERNAL REFURBISHMENT PROVIDER TO CITY GREEN, SUNDERLAND. The City Green building is a mid-rise block comprising of 53 dwellings, located within the city centre of Sunderland, SR2 7BA. The block also comprises a GP Surgery, which is located on the ground floor of the block. The building currently suffers from water ingress during harsh weather conditions due to failings in the original construction detail. The cause of the water ingress is due to two factors: inefficient cladding to the exterior building façade and issues with the window and sliding door installations. The purpose of this procurement is to engage a Principal Contractor to remove the existing rainscreen cladding and replace it with a pre-specified product and to also replace the existing windows and sliding doors to the entire block to ensure the safety of residents.
