Tender description

The Commemorative Plaque Scheme requires stone plaques, circular in shape, with two sizes of plaque required – 33cm diameter & 45cm diameter. Both size plaques are to meet these specifications: • Stone type: 20mm thick Millennium Cream granite • Weight (approx): 33cm type - 7kg. 45cm type – 9.5kg. • Text will be prescribed by Dublin City Council but will comprise of: o Unique typeface - (Dublin City Nib, which will be made available to the successful tenderer). o Bilingual text, as per Official Languages Regulations Act 2003. o Centred text, with a character count of no more than 32 per line. Contracts under this framework will be awarded using the cascade method (see section 3.4 below for more details. It is anticipated that approximately 10 to 20 plaques per year will be required.
