Tender description

The Council invites Tenders for the provision of Internal Audit Services by Audit and Accountancy organisations, with a proven track record of successfully providing such services for large, complex Public-Sector organisations (preferably in local government). Lot 1: Under the Local Government (Accounts and Audit) Regulations (NI) 2015 Newry, Mourne and Down District Council (the Council) must undertake an effective internal audit of its accounting records, its system of risk management, its internal control and its governance processes by following internal auditing standards. The Council currently operates an outsourced internal audit service which delivers the Council’s risk based Internal Audit Services. The Council invites Tenders for the provision of Internal Audit Services by Audit and Accountancy organisations, with a proven track record of successfully providing such services for large, complex Public-Sector organisations (preferably in local government). The Contract will be for an initial period of approximately 2 years from 1 April 2023 (may change) until 31st March 2025 (will not change), with an option to extend for up to 2 additional 12-month periods concluding 31st March 2027.
