CHE memo 441 provides a value for money solution to provide secondary vehicle restraint to structures with weak stringcourses or substandard parapets. However, the solution developed applies only to a limited number of scenarios regarding National Highways structures. This task is to further development process is to provide a solution which can be applied near universally to the network and incorporates smart motorway and expressway scenarios as well as narrow underbridge on all trunk roads.
