Replacement of existing heating centre for Gymnasium Building

Tender description

The scope of the works will be as follows: • Decommissioning, stripping out and removal from site of 1no. existing oil-fired boiler, burner, pump, controls associated with the oil boiler, oil supply line pipework, and hot water calorifier etc. in the existing gymnasium boilerhouse. The existing oil storage tank and underground oil supply line to the boiler house shall be removed. • Install new natural gas fired boilers, low loss headers, new LPHW pumps, MCC controls, pipework etc. • Install a new direct gas fired hot water boiler • Install new gas slam shut valve, new gas detection system within boiler house • Connect new heating centre plant to the 1no. existing LPHW circuits. • Extend the underground gas services pipework from existing external store to the Gymnasium building boilerhouse. All trenching works to be reinstated and made good as per existing finishes. • All associated electrical works for the project. New gas fired boiler shall be wired and controlled from the existing MCC panel within existing boiler house.
