Water Sampling and Zooplankton Identification-COMPASS Interreg Project

Tender description

The Marine Institute, a semi State body, wishes to invite tenders for the completion of work tasks relating to water sampling and zooplankton analysis within the Interreg VA funded project on Collaborative Oceanography and Monitoring for Protected Areas and SpecieS (COMPASS). The tender is split into two lots: Lot 1 – water sampling for chemistry, zooplankton and phytoplankton (nominally fortnightly) Lot 2 – zooplankton identification for composition and abundance (nominally two samples per fortnight) Requirements of the Marine Institute are as follows: 1. Lot 1 – Summary: Dissolved oxygen – sample and fixing Dissolved Inorganic carbon – sample and poisoning Nutrients – sample and filtration Salinity - sample Zooplankton – vertical haul and preservation Phytoplankton – net trawl / lund tube and preservation. 2.
