Tender description
The objective of this Voluntary Ex Ante Transparency (VEAT) notice is to inform the market of Dublin City Council’s intention to enter into a contract with Custom Truck & Plant Solutions in accordance with Article 32.2(c) of Directive 2014/24/EU (i.e. reasons of extreme urgency brought about by events unforeseeable by the contracting authorityIn so far as is strictly necessary where, for reasons of extreme urgency brought about by events unforeseeable by the contracting authority,This is also a Contract Award Notice for the supplies. The time limits for the open or restricted procedures or competitive procedures with negotiation cannot be complied with. The circumstances invoked to justify extreme urgency shall not in any event be attributable to the contracting authority. Over the next two to three year’s DFB will need to replace a number of its Aerial Appliances. The manufacture of a new Turn Table Ladders (TTL) appliance has been significantly extended in recent times and is now an average of 18 months from order to delivery and whilst we have two TTLs on order there is a requirement in the interim to purchase Pre-Owned vehicles in order to replace the existing aging fleet of engines Unfortunately this unexpected situation has prompted the need to make an urgent purchase of 1 pre-owned 32m Aerial Turntable ladders at a cost of £42,000 G.B.P. Ex. Vat. This vehicle was pre-owned by London FRS and has become available for purchase from Custom Truck & Plant Solutions. This purchase is required in order to continue to maintain our fleet and ensure as an organisation DFB are able to fulfil the statutory obligations under the Fire Services Act 1985.
