Supply and Installation of Interlocking Block Walls for the Materials Reclamation Facility

Tender description

The Materials Reclamation Facility (MRF) currently utilises block walls to retain and segregate waste inside the tipping hall and baled and loose material outside the facility. The existing blocks are beyond repair and in need of replacement. In addition, by replacing these blocks with new interlocking blocks, this will help offer better fire resistance and can demonstrate that the MRF is complying with the Fire Prevention and Mitigation Guidance set out by Natural Resources Wales (NRW). The Council require a contract for the design and installation of the replacement block walls, using materials that satisfy the requirements of the NRW guidance and improve the working environment and site safety of the MRF. The work to be undertaken must not negatively impact on site operations.
