Revitalisation of Vestry House Museum

Waltham Forest Council is committed to securing a positive future for Vestry House Museum (VHM), a much-loved museum and garden in the centre of our Borough. We are now in the process of developing an enhanced vision that builds on the strengths of VHM but expands its ambition, its local impact and its sustainability. Importantly, we are seeking to better reflect the rich diversity of our borough through the offer at VHM, its programme of activities and to make VHM a place that welcomes and enriches the lives of all of our residents. As part of this enhanced vision, we also need to make improvements to the Listed Building, making it fully accessible, more energy efficient and preserve VHM for future generations. Following engagement with a range of stakeholders and internally, we are now seeking a team of consultants and practitioners to work with us and local people to help develop a costed plan for a renewed VHM.
