Tender description

Sellafield (SL) is intending to tender certain requirements needed to support the Radiometrics department and associated departments. It is envisaged that the scope of such requirements will be split across several contracts (“Lots”), currently expected to be 4; this will, however, be confirmed in the tender documentation in due course. It is anticipated that the Lots will be advertised via a contract notice issued by SL via the Find a Tender Services (FTS) and will be procured using the same Invitation to Tender (ITT) document. It is anticipated that tenderers will be permitted to tender for any number of the Lots and submissions by consortia will also be permitted. It is anticipated that the contract notice will be published in August 2022 with each of the Lots being awarded early 2023 to enable full commencement of each Lot by 1st April 2023 Scope: Please see attached support document Lot 1: Measurement and Test Equipment (MTE) Provides calibration and repair of a wide range of MTE utilised at SL. It is intended that this will be issued as 1 of the 4 individual contracts for an intended minimum 4-year contract with the potential of additional 3 years. Additional information: See support document for the PIN Lot 2: Maintenance of Installed Radiation Protection Instruments (RPI) Includes the Installed Radiation Protection Instrument (IRPI) equipment utilised at SL. It is intended that the Installed RPI will be issued as 1 of the 4 individual contracts for an intended minimum 4-year contract with the potential of additional 3 years Additional information: See support document for the PIN Lot 3: Maintenance of Hand-Held Health Physics Radiation Protection Instruments (RPI) Includes the Hand-Held Health Physics RPI. It is intended that the Hand-Held Health Physics RPI will be issued as 1 of the 4 individual contracts for an intended 1-year contract with the potential of additional 1 year extension. Additional information: See support document for the PIN Lot 4: Nuclear Radiometric Characterisation Services (RCS) Includes the provision of Radiometric Characterisation Services (RCS) across the SL site to resolve both current and emerging radiometric characterisation issues and supporting remediation and high hazard reduction activities. It is intended that this will be issued as 1 of the 4 individual contracts for an intended minimum 4-year contract with the potential of additional 3 years.
