Oberstown Children Detention Campus (Oberstown) is Ireland’s national facility for the detention of children remanded or sentenced by the courts. Located in Lusk, Co Dublin, the Campus is based in custom-built premises comprising residential accommodation units for young people as well as education, recreation, visiting, medical and other facilities. In fulfilment of national law and policy, Oberstown accommodates young people up to the age of 18 on detention or remand orders providing them with care and education in a safe and secure environment, while helping them to address offending behaviour and preparing them to return successfully to their families and communities. Oberstown Campus includes individual residential units, educational and recreational facilities, ancillary administration, staff, catering, laundry, visiting, admissions, medical, maintenance and waste handling facilities. Total approximately 20,000m2 internal floor area, external grounds and landscaping, natural grass pitch, all weather pitch, rubber courtyards and tarmac playing surfaces. Oberstown require a Tenderer to procure, on their behalf, a Facilities Management Contract where a single entity procures and provides a full range of facility management services for and on behalf of Oberstown. The expected range of services included in the Facilities Management Contract may include but is not limited to the following: • Contract Management • Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Management • Maintenance of building fabric, mechanical and electrical services • Specialist Equipment Maintenance (e.g. secure environment equipment, dental equipment, gym equipment, catering equipment and Oberstown vocational trades equipment) • Provision of a number of full time posts including a facilities manager, facilities assistant and technical staff. • Grounds Maintenance and Landscaping, • Porterage, carriage and movement of articles around the campus • Waste Management, • Pest Control • Utilities
