Tender description

A proportion of the National Skills Fund (NSF) Level 3 Adult Offer funding has been routed via Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) since April 2021, with GM receiving over £6m in 2021/2022 academic year from Central Government and a further allocation for 2022/2023. GMCA has for 2021/2022 allocated a substantial amount of the funding already to its existing Adult Education providers, and is currently wanting to allocate the remaining funding for 2021/2022 and extend this in to 2022/2023. GMCA are preparing to source additional lead organisations via the Education, Work and Skills Flexible Procurement System to widen the NSF Level 3 Adult Offer to more GM residents. Ideally we are looking for lead organisations who can offer a significant range of the qualifications listed by the Education Skills Funding Agency (List of free level 3 qualifications available to eligible adults - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)) and this can be with a consortium or supply chain in place to deliver a wide range of the qualifications, across the different subject sector areas and across the whole of GM. The mini-competition opportunity will focus on ensuring the offer covers across the following Tier 2 Subject Sector Areas: Accounting and Finance, Agriculture, Building and Construction, Business Management, Child Development and Wellbeing, Engineering, Environmental Conservation, Health and Social Care, Horticulture and Forestry, Hospitality and Catering, ICT for Users, ICT Practitioners, Manufacturing Technologies, Mathematics and Statistics, Medicine and Dentistry, Nursing Subjects and Vocations Allied to Medicine, Public Services, Science, Teaching and Lecturing, Transportation Operations and Maintenance, Warehousing and Distribution. We are especially looking for lead organisations who are able to respond quickly by offering and delivering qualifications within the 2021/2022 academic year as well as in 2022/2023. All qualifications will need to be completed by 31st July 2023. An online market engagement session, will be held on Monday 14th March 15:00 – 16:00 so organisations can find out more about this upcoming funding opportunity.
