Lease Hire of Compact Road sweepers for Cashel & Thurles

Tipperary County Council (TCC) Machinery Section is currently seeking to Lease Hire 2 No. Compact Suction Sweepers to be used in the towns of Cashel and Thurles. This process will require the Lease Hire of 2 No. New Compact Suction Sweepers depending on cost, cost benefit analysis and Tipperary County Council Finance Section’s approval. The scope of this document is to outline the minimum requirements of the Suction Sweeper The minimum required life span of the Suction Sweeper is 7 years and due to the nature of the usage, minimum downtime is a prime consideration. It is imperative that parts are available for maintenance of the Suction Sweeper throughout the 3/5 year lease. TCC may accept a Suction Sweeper that deviates from the requirements of this specification. Suction Sweepers that deviate from this specification but can be shown to have equivalent performance and suitability for the proposed purpose may be considered. The final decision on the suitability of such machines rests with the Machinery Engineer. The Suction Sweeper must comply with the statutory provisions laid down in current Road Traffic Regulations. The successful tenderer shall provide all necessary tests to demonstrate compliance with the specification to the satisfaction of the Machinery Engineer. Where a tenderer proposes the use of equipment as equivalent to specified branded equipment he shall satisfy the Machinery Engineer that such equipment is in fact equivalent in all respects. The Suction sweeper to be fitted on a 4.5 tonne GVW chassis. Preferably the chassis selected to have full type approval from the Sweeper manufacturer The Suction Sweeper to be fitted with a Euro 6 compliant engine with a displacement of 2970 cm3 The Suction Sweeper to have a infinitely variable hydrostatic drive
