Summary of the work London Borough of Tower Hamlets require an IT consultant with technical and management skills to support the delivery of IT for this new School. Specialist role Business analyst Latest start date Saturday 1 April 2023 Who Speclialist Work With Council's schools project manager What Specialists Work On (i) The IT consultant will liaise with the Main Contractor’s IT specialist. (ii) Identify and specify the IT requirement for the schools (v) Assist the Trust / School in the development of specification for IT supplies (vi) Project Manage the installation of the IT after tender process. (vii)Monitor delivery and installation timelines and report to LBTH (viii)Advise LBTH and Mulberry Trust on technical issues on the IT acquisition and installation (ix) Organise training for the School’s Staff (x) Monitor defects and organise rapid response to replace or repair items in question (xi) Provide support for the School during warranty period Skills & Experience • Experience specifying IT for schools • Experience of project management of new installation • Understanding of school IT requirements Work Location London Borough of Tower Hamlets Working Arrangments The work will necessitate site visits to 3 schools. Regular meetings with project management team and procurement via MS Teams. Or can the specialist work hybrid Our assumption has been that there may an intensive phase prior to the tenders being issued for the school supply and fit out projects, and then some support at the evaluation phase of the tenders, but thereafter the role would more about periodic checking up on progress, so it would not be a full time role
