IPC Training Course Provision for Space Industry Skillnet

Space Industry Skillnet was formed in 2006 and is an enterprise led training network that organises essential training for Irish companies who are or who want to be involved in the delivery of technology and services to the European Space Agency (ESA) in support of its space programmes (www.esa.int). The Space Industry Skillnet is a national training network and operates in all technology sectors. The objective of the Space Industry Skillnet is to encourage and enable more Irish companies to consider the space industry as a truly commercial opportunity and to provide them with the skills to do so. One of the key benefits of training is the development of skills that can are assessed to international standards and accredited to certified bodies. This approach provides industry with a skill resource base that is qualified and certified to known industry standards. In the field of electronic assembly the most common standards originate from the IPC (Association Connecting Electronics Industries (formerly Institute of Interconnecting and Packaging Electronic Circuits) organisation and are recognised worldwide. This Request for Tender is inviting training providers with the appropriate background in the provision of certified training to IPC standards to respond with a proposal to provide IPC training services for the period 28th March 2022 to 31st December 2023 to Space Industry Skillnet network members. Space Industry Skillnet of funded through the Training Networks Programme which is an initiative of Skillnets Ltd. and is funded from the National Training Fund through the Department of Education and Skills.
