UCD School of Mathematics and Statistics is Ireland's highest-ranking School of Mathematics and Statistics. The School is the largest of its kind in Ireland and offers a wide choice of programmes at undergraduate, masters and PhD level, reflecting the ubiquity of the mathematical sciences in the modern world. With the publication of this document, the School of Mathematics and Statistics seeks a modern technical computing system to meet the teaching and research needs of the university. The software should support Windows, Mac and Linux computer platforms. The license should make the software available for unlimited use on all UCD computers as well as including a home use license extension for use by staff and students on their personal computers. The license should work without the need to maintain a network connection with the University’s systems. It should provide free access to software updates and priority access to technical support should also be included, and the vendor should provide training sessions for new users.
