Mailing equipment: Franking machine and Envelope inserter

<p>Salford City Council(SCC) are looking to replace its current mailing equipment (Franking machine &amp; Envelope inserter. SCC are looking to work with a provider of mailing equipment to ensure we can achieve our goals and achievements in the mailing department. Salford currently send approximately 700,000 C5 mail items per year through its mail service with 90-95% being fulfilled by the Ds90i Inserter. As a local authority we have statutory responsibilities to produce annual council tax bills and remittances during Mar/Apr each year, during this period (usually 3 weeks) the authority needs to produce, envelope and dispatch approx. 120,000 C5 envelopes containing 2 page A4 and a cross folded A3&gt;A5 sheet. This volume represents approx. 17% of the annual volume within these 3 weeks with a statutory obligation to be completed by a given date. During the periods February to April the authority has been able to lease additional equipment from its current supplier with sufficient specification to ensure load balancing and contingency to fulfil this need, therefore we will require a indicative cost from bidders to allow for this.</p> Keywords: Mailing Equipment, Inserter, Franking, Envelope, Mail
