Tender description

The instrument MUST include the following basic functions and components: a pipette based liquid handling workstation containing open modular pipetting heads with changeable single or multi-channel pipette heads and MUST contain a sensor for detecting liquid, tips and labware. The liquid handling range should cover 0.2µL to 1000µL with a desirable increase to 5000µL and MUST cover 0.5µL to 1000µL. The pipettes MUST fit standard pipette tips and be compatible with tubes (0.2 mL to 50 mL) and microplates from 48 to 384 wells. It must include a liquid waste station. The moveable components MUST be autoclavable & easy to maintain. It MUST contain an automatic calibration warning, which should be calibrated to ISO standards. It MUST include pipette tip rack holders, a tool rack and a labware holder. The instrument MUST be computer controlled and MUST include an automation controller, software, computer, mouse with the capacity for remote access. The liquid handling robot MUST be housed in a biosafety level Class II cabinet designed to be large enough to house and operate the liquid handling robot instrument with HEPA and Carbon filters and should have a UV light option. It MUST include a robust support stand. The offer MUST include on-site training for up to 3 users and a warranty to include parts and servicing for 2 years after installation and should include an option to extend the warranty or provide free of charge, including parts and servicing. The price quoted MUST include delivery, installation and calibration of instrument and housing equipment and training of users.
