Teagasc - RFT to Supply Depth/RGB Sensor, Gantry to Support Depth/RGB Sensor, Rib Eye Imaging System & 3D Scanning System

Tender description

Teagasc wishes to procure the supply and delivery of equipment which will be part of a Meat Process Analytics and Automation Testbed being established at the Meat Industry Development Unit at Teagasc, Ashtown. The Process Analytics sensing and imaging equipment in this tender will provide a basis for Teagasc to research paths forward towards increasing digitalisation, automation, and sustainability in the sector. Lot 1 – Depth (3D) & RGB Sensor system for the imaging of large targets in a humid working environment. The Depth (3D) and RGB sensor must be capable of recording accurate images of a hanging and inhomogeneous surface targets. Lot 2 – Gantry to Support Depth (3D) & RGB Sensor(s) is to be a portable gantry to support a Depth (3D) and RGB Sensor(s). The gantry MUST be complementary to the equipment of Lot 1 and a generic infrared camera. The gantry can be designed and built for the purpose of this tender and/or it can be already available in the market. Lot 3 – Rib Eye Imaging System is to be a camera capable of providing an accurate image/ output of the target surface. Lot 4 – 3D Scanning System must be an instrument capable of providing accurate 3D information and virtual reconstruction. The system should also be capable of providing similarly accurate 3D information, texture, fine details and reconstruction of smaller foodstuffs. The system must be capable of providing an accurate 3D reconstructed image/ output of the target objects. Lot 228108: Lot 1 Depth (3D) & RGB Sensor Lot 1 is to be a Depth and RGB Sensor system for the imaging of large targets in a humid working environment. Lot 228109: Lot 2 Gantry to Support Depth (3D) & RGB Sensor Lot 2 is to be a portable gantry to stably support a Depth (3D) and RGB Sensor(s). The gantry MUST be complementary to the equipment of Lot 1 and a generic infrared camera. Lot 228110: Lot 3 Rib Eye Imaging System Lot 3 is to be a camera capable of recording accurate images of the cut surface of the loin/ rib eye muscle of the beef fore or hind quarter is required. Lot 228111: Lot 4 3D Scanning System Lot 4 is to be a 3D scanning instrument capable of providing accurate 3D information and virtual reconstruction of red meat carcasses.
