Supply of Grounds Maintenance and Horticultural Services at the Marine Institute, Rinville, Oranmore, Co. Galway.

Tender description

The Marine Institute, a semi State body, wishes to invite tenders for the supply of Grounds Maintenance and Horticultural Services for a period of 3 years, commencing March 2022, with the option to extend the contract for a further 2 years by agreement. At present a requirement exists for Grounds Maintenance and Horticultural Services in a single Lot. This is an Open Invitation to Tender with any qualified service providers invited to respond. Attached documents lay out the schedule of requirements for this tender and their timeframes of monthly requirements. Required maintenance is to include: Lawn maintenance - Cutting, fertilising, strimming of edges, tree circles and winter edging. Shrub maintenance is to include: Pruning, hedge cutting, fertilising, weed control, watering and tree/ shrub insecticide treatment. Other services to this tender include: tree tie adjustments, leaf clearing, litter collection and moss control at a frequency to be indicated by the successful tenderer. Site details attached outline the mapping of the Marine Institutes grounds, inclusive of a pollinator map outlining the meadow area which will require only to be mowed in October annually. The successful tenderer will be expected to be in a position to meet the full criteria listed in the schedule provided in the attached Invitation to Tender and should also be in a position to provide horticultural advice as required throughout the duration of the contract. Landscaping projects or works in addition to general maintenance may be required during the contract period. Provision must be made to quote and undertake these within a mutually agreeable timeframe. Review meetings and grounds walkabouts are essential for this contract. It is an expectation that the contractor will schedule such meetings regularly and include these in the contract price. Whilst onsite, all landscaping staff will be required to comply with the Institutes requirements of personnel conduct as laid out in the ITT.
