Tender description

At the Department of Chemical Sciences at University of Limerick, Ireland, tenders are sought for the supply, delivery, installation and calibration of Continuous oscillating baffle reactor. This COBC/R (Continuous Oscillatory Baffled Crystallizer/Reactor), is for research and development of continuous processes. The scope of supply consists of 7 m long jacketed glassware with internally welded glass orifice-baffles. At the maximum length of 7 m, the system volume is 1.25 L, which offers a 30-minute residence time at a nominal total net flow rate of 40 ml/minute, or equivalent. Fluid oscillation within the inner tube of the COBC/R glassware is generated by a reciprocating PEEK piston, driven by a linear motor controlled by a pre-programmed PLC via a servo motor, or equivalent. The touch screen on the local operating panel controls the oscillator: starts at a user-settable oscillation amplitude and frequency; controlled stop; and emergency stop.
