Tender description

LCC Museums is the recongnised repository for archaeological archives resulting from archaeological investigations in the county linked to stautory planning controls. Archaeological archives include large sheet plans and draings which must be stored in suitable cabinets for long term preservation. The current storage systems are full and in order to accommodate incoming material for 5-10 years we wish to purchase additional plan chests. Archaeological contractors pay LCC Museum for this curation which currently generates income of at least £5k per year. Charges are increasing from January 2022.
