Iarnród Éireann wishes to procure a new fleet of “type approved” wagons through a Framework Agreement for up to 400 wagons over a 10-year term. Iarnród Éireann wishes to undertake a “Supplier Engagement” process in Quarter 1 of 2022 & invites suppliers of “type approved” bogie container flat wagons and tippler, side tipping and conventional ore wagons to participate. Iarnród Éireann is considering the use of “lots” for both types of wagons in the procurement process in order to maximise competition. Iarnród Éireann views this “PIN” and associated “Supplier Engagement” as an opportunity for the market to drive & inform the technical specification for the new tender process.
