GB-Banbury: The UK Plastics Pact Front of Store Collected Film Waste Collaborative Project - Film Recycling Trials

Tender description

To demonstrate that end market uses are available for all fractions of front of store (FoS) collected film and flexibles plastic waste using a range of existing and new technologies to effectively sort and clean the material and generate recyclate suited to as wide as possible range of end uses in packaging or products. Also to coordinate and deliver a trial to create a range of pellets using all elements of the waste streams i.e., clear PP pellet, clear PE pellet, jazz PE and PP pellet (potentially a combined PE/PP pellet) from sorted fractions of front of store material to generate recycled polymers with a significantly broader range of upcycled end markets. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
