Tender description
RTÉ intends to digitally archive video (television) and sound (radio) archives and make the digitised recordings and catalogue records available for production purposes and also potentially to the public on the RTÉ Archives website. Lot 1: Digitisation of RTÉ Video tapes Lot 1: Videotape Collection The Collection consists of around 253,000 Betacam SP, Digital Beta and HD Cam Tape. The tapes contain a mixture of studio and field recordings produced originally for TV programming purposes. Lot cancelled and not awarded Lot 2: Digitisation of RTE Sound tapes RTÉ Archives wish to digitise approximately 63,000 quarter-inch audio tapes. The tapes are generally full track, professionally recorded studio recordings. Lot 3: Digitisation of RTE Optical Disc Collection RTÉ wishes to copy a collection of up to 17,000 optical discs representing an archive collection of original programme material Lot 4: Digitisation of RTE Commercial Music collection Copy a collection of up to 110,000 discs representing the commercial music library.
