<p><strong><u>North Shields Town Centre Redevelopment - &nbsp;Public Art Commission One</u></strong></p> <p>Expressions of interest are invited from creative practitioners with the relevant skills and experience to implement the design and installation of a series of new artworks to be situated at key locations in North Shields, as part of the redevelopment of the town centre.</p> <p>The artworks will be an integral feature of the masterplan work for North Shields Town Centre which is central to the Council approved regeneration strategy, Ambition for North Tyneside.&nbsp; A copy can be found here <a href="https://my.northtyneside.gov.uk/sites/default/files/meeting/related-documents/6ci%20FINAL%20Cabinet%20Report%20-%20An%20Ambition%20for%20North%20Tyneside.pdf">https://my.northtyneside.gov.uk/sites/default/files/meeting/related-documents/6ci%20FINAL%20Cabinet%20Report%20-%20An%20Ambition%20for%20North%20Tyneside.pdf</a></p> <p>It is anticipated that the artworks will be themed to reflect the heritage of the town but not confined to literal representations.&nbsp; The proposed locations are identified on the attached map, 3 areas are defined as A, B, and C.</p> <p>Development work is already underway and the production and installation of the artwork will need to be completed by;</p> <p>Site A &ndash; Magistrates Court, Tynemouth Road - April 2023</p> <p>Site B &ndash; North Shields Fish Quay - April 2023</p> <p>Site C &ndash; Prudhoe St &ndash; April 2023</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>in order to fit in with the agreed development schedule.
