Tender description
Under the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine Capital Works Programme, it is proposed to construct 2no. buildings within Killybegs Fishery Harbour Centre during 2022. One building is in the Shipyard and Syncrolift Area and the other is within the new pier development. Having completed Preliminary Designs and received Planning Permission from Donegal County Council, the Department now intends to engage with a Consultant to assist in the delivery of these projects. It is proposed to tender the 2no. buildings as one package. Shipyard Storage Shed This building is located in a busy Shipyard where vessels are removed from the water and moved between maintenance bays and the Boat Repair Building (BRB). This operation should not be interrupted by the works which should be outlined in the Preliminary Health & Safety Plan. Preliminary Design has been completed; the Consultant must adopt and develop the preliminary design and produce working drawings, pricing documents and material specification. All structural designs are to be completed and must include foundation, slab and pile design if required. The existing car park area must be considered, and design completed to reconfigure the area to allow access to the proposed new building. M&E shall be incorporated in the design including use of a Heat Pump System for heat when required by end users. The Department’s Engineer must be consulted throughout this process and any changes that the Engineer proposes must be included in the final design. The Roller Doors on the Preliminary Drawings may be moved to suit Shipyard Activities.
