Strategic Outline Business Case Development for a Mixed Use Stadium in Barrow in Furness

Barrow was successfully awarded £25m through the Towns Fund which is part of the Government's plan to level up the UK economy. This is an ambitious programme which will transform Barrow and includes plans for a new University Campus and provision for 600 new homes. One of the other successful projects which makes up Brilliant Barrows Town Deal programme is a place development project. This aims to enhance Barrow's cultural and leisure offer and improve the perception and image of Barrow. As part of the Place Development Project, Barrow BC wish to develop a Strategic Outline Business Case (SOBC) against the HM Treasury Green Book model which would identify the viability and sustainability of a mixed use stadium in Barrow. The intent is that the Stadium would provide a high profile attraction in Barrow which could be used for a range of activities including sports, leisure and events. The cost of the production of the SOBC will be no more than £9,000. Barrow Council (the Council) would like to thank you for your interest in this opportunity.
