RFT for the Supply of Education Specialist and Quality Assurance Support Services to an Bord Iascaigh Mhara, Crofton Road, Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin

An Bord Iascaigh Mhara, a semi-State agency wishes to invite tenders for the provision of Education specialist and Quality Assurance (QA) Support services in the National Fisheries Colleges of Ireland (NFCI) and in BIM’s wider Skills Development Services (SDS)Unit. The primary purpose of this tender is to precure expert educational development and Quality Assurance Support Services for new and existing training programmes offered by BIM to personnel working in the Seafood Industry. This includes programmes approved by Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI), leading to awards on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) as well as maritime education and training programmes for seafarers, approved by the Marine Survey Office (MSO) in the Department of Transport. BIM’s Skills Development Services Unit deliver a wide range of training programmes to personnel working in the seafood industry and those wishing to gain employment in the sector. This training is delivered in the following locations: • National Fisheries College of Ireland (NFCI) Greencastle, Co Donegal • National Fisheries College of Ireland (NFCI) Castletownbere, Co Cork • BIM’s Head Office, Dún Laoghaire, Co Dublin • BIM’s Seafood Innovation Hub (SIH), Clonakilty, Co Cork In addition, training is delivered in other venues throughout Ireland mainly in coastal communities via two mobile Coastal Training Units (CTU).
