Request for Tenders for the Provision of Design & Printing Services to design and develop an overall concept, layout and to print the Longford County Development Plan 2021-2027

Longford County Council in accordance with the requirements of the Planning & Development Act 2000, (as amended) has prepared and adopted the new Longford County Development Plan 2021-2027 (hereafter referred to as The Plan). The holding copy of the Longford County Development Plan 2021-2027 which is the subject of this tender is available to view at www.longfordcoco.ie This Brief refers to the overall requirements for the design, layout and printing of the document and also the production of a format which can be uploaded online. . Longford County Council requires the production of a high-quality publication to reflect the Plan’s importance as a statutory document, displaying the corporate identity of Longford County Council, yet having an innovative design which grabs attention and is easy and legible to read. Tenders are invited from suitably qualified and experienced consultants to design, layout and print the Longford County Development Plan 2021-2027 to include a design concept submission & overall layout and printing arrangements for the printing of the Final Plan. The overall design concept for the Plan should: • be contemporary in nature and appealing to the wide audience the Plan is intended to serve; • have regard to, and be able to comply with, the Council’s Branding Guidelines. The concept proposal should include photography and illustrations as appropriate. Where photos are used the preference would be to use locally based photography, in this regard there is an existing stock of locally taken photographs available. There may also be some scope for using stock photographs. The documents are to be produced in colour; and the concept design shall reflect this, particularly using colour as a means of identifying individual Chapters.
