Provision of a Corporate Telematics Solution

Tender description

North Ayrshire Councils contact for the lease, installation and maintenance of its corporate telematics solution is due to expire on 28th April 2022. The telematics solution enables the Council to improve the safety and efficiency of its fleet operations by enabling the Council to capture and analyse vehicle data like fuel consumption, vehicle tracking and driver behaviour. This data is then used to identify safety improvements and cost reductions based on the whole life cost of vehicles, as well as supporting evidence-based decision making. The system is also used to assist with insurance claims, complaints and incidents involving Council vehicles. NAC have circa 586 vehicles with a small number being externally hired vehicles. This figure includes cars, vans, sweepers, bin lorries and gritting lorries. The new contract will commence 29th April 2022 until 28th April 2027 (5 years).
