Maindy (Gelligaer Street) Park

Cardiff Council intends to appoint an appropriate contractor to undertake works to Maindy (Gelligaer Street) Park. The park is defined as the wall/fence boundary as shown on drawing L-01 and L02A & B. The general scope of work within this contract is defined by the red line boundary.Park improvements will include:• Installation of a new playarea. This will include some new play equipment and relocation and refurbishment of existing. A separate natural play area shall also be included.• New paths and paver areas• New sport games: table tennis & teqball.• Picnic tables, some with combined board games• Positioning new seating and re-positioning old bins• New trees, shrub, and meadow grass areas• Ground re-profiling to accommodate ground water & meet SAB obligations.Please refer to the drawings, Specification and Bill of Quantities for the full scope of work.The contractor shall be responsible for fencing and securing the site during the works, protecting existing trees in accordance with BS5837:2012, protecting adjacent walls and fencing, protecting underground services (where applicable) and meeting their obligations under the CDM regulations.The MUGAS are to remain open during the works.
