<p>BCP Council is re-opening The Framework for the Provision of Short Break Services for Disabled Children and Young People to allow for further competition - Round 1</p> <p>Short Breaks provide opportunities for disabled children and young people to spend time away from their primary carers and should provide the ongoing support that children/young people and their families need to fulfil their potential, therefore benefiting both the child/young person and the parent/carer. The break should provide a rest from caring responsibilities for parents/carers and will allow the child/young person to experience new activities while developing relationships.</p> <p>The Framework covers the following lots;</p> <p>• Lot 1 – Overnight care</p> <p>• Lot 2 – Day care</p> <p>• Lot 3 – Domiciliary care</p> <p>• Lot 4 – Community care</p> <p>Existing Framework Suppliers will not need to resubmit tenders and will remain on the Framework.</p> Keywords: Short Breaks, Children and Young People
