Tender description

Forestry England have a future requirement for the provision of waste management services across the national forest estate in England. Note that it has not yet been decided whether the tender exercise will be lotted by geographical area. Forestry England are currently scoping our requirements to ensure that the specification of requirements and future tender documentation accurately reflects the offerings of the market. We invite companies from the market to register their interest in this future requirement and provide feedback on potential clarifications on the feasibility of our emerging plans. Lot 1: Forestry England require a waste management service for the national forest estate in England. This requirement includes the provision of facilities for waste collection, recycling / disposal of waste and ensuring compliance with waste management legislation. The contract holder will be responsible for providing a service for the routine collection and disposal / recycling of a number of waste streams from Forestry England visitor sites, offices, and depots, including but not limited to routine collection and disposal of sanitary waste, routine emptying and maintenance of septic tanks and grease traps, routine collection and disposal of deer and feral boar larder waste (seasonal) and the disposal or recycling of fly-tipped waste which may include hazardous waste. The service provider will be responsible for ensuring that copies of all waste transfer notes and other waste management paperwork from collection to end-user are collated and made available to Forestry England.
