****Pre-Market Engagement Exercise**** The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) is currently preparing to initiate a procurement process to establish a contract with Supplier(s) to provide the Haulage and Slaughter of reactor cattle. The potential scale and scope of this service is such that it offers a significant opportunity to bidders. Prior to initiating the procurement DAERA wishes to establish the level of market interest in participating in the procurement process. The purposed of this exercise are to: • gain initial supplier awareness, engagement and opinion, • gain insight to the market possibilities and potential innovative solutions in compliance with all DAERAs legislative requirements; • understand risks and issues not previously considered; • inform the Outline Business Case; • inform the Procurement Strategy; and • prevent DAERA from advertising an unachievable project at UK e-notification service www.find-tender.service.gov.uk stage.
