Tender description

Brighton and Hove City Council (the Council) are seeking bids from Service Providers for a Community Support block contract. The Contract is for the provision of Community Support to meet the support needs and identified outcomes of a number of adults in the community who have Learning Disabilities, Autistic Spectrum Condition, physical disabilities, Mental Health Needs, Complex/challenging behaviour or personal care needs. The Service Provider is required to take over the provision of support for a cohort of 53 Service Users who currently receive cumulative weekly support hours in the region of 332.5 hours. Some of these Service Users receive a service via a Direct Payment/self funding - the Service Provider is required to offer a service to these individuals. It is anticipated that as soon as the 53 Service Users are transferred successfully referrals will be made to fill any other remaining hours within the block not required by the transferring Service Users. As Service Users move on from the service or their required support hours change, the Service Provider will be required to accept new referrals to the service as part of the block contracting arrangement The service is required to be registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). The contract is for 18 months.
