Air Quality Continuous Monitoring; Nitrogen Dioxide Analysers' Service & Maintenance and Data Handling

<p>Under Part IV of the Environment Act 1995 (as amended by Environment Act 2021) Local Authorities have a central role in achieving improvements in air quality as per the Local Air Quality Management (LAQM) system Under LAQM, local authorities are required to assess air quality in their area and designate Air Quality Management Areas (AQMAs) if improvements are necessary. There currently are 6 AQMAs across South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse These AQMAs were declared due to exceedances of the NO2 objectives. The councils therefore monitor NO2 concentrations across the districts by means of diffusion tubes and four continuous NOx/NO2 analysers.
