Mycoplasma Relocation

Tender description

The Mycoplasma team need to be relocated across site from building 4 and into building 6 of the Stuart Stockman Building (SSB-6) on the ground floor. Therefore, the SSB-6 suite needs to be prepared in advance of them moving over. It has 4 main rooms and a corridor. The larger room, SE025, is not expected to have any works undertaken. However, SE020 will have some lab-grade benching removal and disused sink to accommodate tall fridges/freezers. SE021 will have some minor benching removal to accommodate 2x CO2 incubators and will need a carbon dioxide supply installed. The design is to extend this CO2 pipe from the existing supply. Existing walls to be made good/touched up if any damage occurs, likewise with patch repairs to any damage to the floor. Several black out blinds will need to be sourced for the dark room in SE023, temporary lab benching and desking to be removed, new lab benching to be installed, and improvements to the electrical provision to accommodate a couple of fridge/freezers (e.g. trunking and additional sockets). This is a CL2 low containment facility - no changes are to be made to this level, only verification it is operating how it should be/aligned with compliance.
