Primary care medical provision for the registered population of Spring House Medical Centre

Tender description

This Notice is to inform the market of the award of a short-term contract for primary care medical services delivered to the registered population of Spring House Medical Centre (Y02639) in the East and North Hertfordshire area. The contract award is being made by Hertfordshire and West Essex Integrated Care Board as the contracting authority. These services are currently delivered under an Alternative Provider Medical Services (APMS) contract by Ephedra, Welhat Federation which has been in place since 1st April 2018 and is due to expire on 31st March 2023. A short-term (6 month) extension has been agreed to allow the Authority to conduct robust market engagement which will be used to inform the commissioning and procurement intentions for these services following their expiry. The extension will allow continuity of services for the registered patient population whilst a full options appraisal is undertaken. The new contract will start on 1st April 2023 and will expire on 30th September 2023. The value of extension is based on the current quarterly list size.
