Tender description

The Adult Social Care Training and Development Team provides a comprehensive annual training program for NCC Adult Provision colleagues who work directly with citizens, a significant number of whom need support with medication. The Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014: Regulation 12(2)(g) states that "Staff responsible for the management and administration of medication must be suitably trained and competent". The CQC and Skills for Care Recommended Mandatory Training guidance (2019) states that medication training is mandatory and to be completed annually. This is reflected in the City Council's Adult Provision medication procedures which are compliant with the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire CCG guidance.
