Hydrology of White Peak

Tender description

Research - review and summarise existing knowledge of the hydrology of the limestone of the White Peak. This work will provide an up-to-date baseline for our knowledge of the White Peak hydrology and make this knowledge accessible to relevant Natural England staff. It will allow better targeting of actions to address diffuse agricultural pollution which contributes to Peak District Dales SAC river and spring-fed fen water quality issues, and inform our knowledge of nutrient pathways through the limestone. It will also inform our responses to planning and other activities such as abstractions, all of which can potentially contribute to condition of river and fen interest features within the SAC.
