Tender description
Moat currently uses a variety of methods for the delivery of a range of services delivered in and around customer homes relating to Grounds Maintenance, Gardening, Communal Cleaning, Window Cleaning, Arboriculture and Pest Control. The total spent on these services in 2021/22 was in excess of £2.5m. These services are collectively referred to as ‘Estate Services’. Current arrangements for the delivery of these services expire during 2023 and Moat is undertaking an options appraisal to develop the procurement approach to be used for their recommissioning. This PIN is issued to invite feedback from potential suppliers, which will be used to inform decisions. Lot 1: Moat currently uses a variety of methods for the delivery of a range of services delivered in and around customer homes relating to Grounds Maintenance, Gardening, Communal Cleaning, Window Cleaning, Arboriculture and Pest Control. The total spent on these services in 2021/22 was in excess of £2.5m. These services are collectively referred to as ‘Estate Services’. The services currently being delivered under this contract are critical service delivery requirements for Moat, with a large number of our customers receiving two or more of these services. Additional services are provided in relation to the management of bulky waste and fly-tipping. These are currently excluded from the scope of this soft market testing exercise. Moat is working with echelon Consultancy to undertake a detailed scoping exercise to inform its future procurement strategy for the delivery of Estate Services. As part of this exercise this PIN is being issued along with a soft market testing questionnaire to gauge potential providers’ interest and views. We would be very grateful if you can complete the following questionnaire to which the results we will incorporate into our scoping exercise. The information provided in response will not be treated as commercially confidential and may be used by Moat in the development of the procurement documents used for future contracts, but no individual or organisation responding to this PIN will be identified. The anticipated annual spend for the works are as follows. Grounds Maintenance £1.3m Communal Cleaning £900k Pest Control £200k Tree Services £100k
