Tender description
Tenders are invited for the Supply and delivery of a Neuronavigation System and a Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) system for University College Dublin (UCD). The new neuronavigated transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) system will be used as part of the Affective, Behavioural and Cognitive Neuroscience research theme in the School of Psychology and collaborators across UCD. A state-of-the-art system is required for precision targeting of brain areas that integrates directly with individual MRIs, also providing realistic generic head models as an alternative. The system must allow precision tracking and targeting with at least two TMS coils in parallel – over the same brain hemisphere (small coil design) and allow the use of a variety of single-pulse, twin-pulse, customizable repetitive pulse protocols at each coil. It must allow easy integration and synchronisation with EEG systems (e.g. EEG noise filter and delayed recharge) and easy digitization of EEG electrode positions through the Neuronavigation component. All components (TMS and Neuronavigation) must be CE marked for use in clinical contexts. Lot 251019: Lot 1 Neuronavigation System The system MUST be an optical system which includes 3 tracker tools – head, TMS coil, and pointer. The system MUST include software and computer for the registration of the head with an MRI scan, marking of target sites on the scan, continuous tracking of the position of the coil during TMS experiments, and recording of details from experimental sessions. The system MUST have universal TMS & MRI compatibility.All information relating to this tender is published on www.etender.gov.ie Lot 251020: Lot 2 Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) system The TMS system MUST be able to deliver single-pulse, twin-pulse, theta-burst and customizable repetitive pulse protocols; the latter up to a min of 40Hz pulse frequency at min 90% of max power. The system MUST be able to deliver mono- and bi-phasic pulses. The system MUST be able to flexibly deliver protocols for two-coil stimulation, e.g. via two stimulators, EACH capable of single, twin and repetitive protocols.
