Supply and maintenance of cell washing and processing systems Lot 3: 5. Lot 3 - The provision and maintenance of system(s) and associated consumables Description<br/>This Prior Information Notice (PIN) is separate to any tender opportunity and its purpose is to consult the market to improve NHSBT’s and the wider NHS’s knowledge of organisations within the marketplace that can offer the required service and to gauge market interest ahead of any further tender opportunity.<br/>NHSBT require medical devices as follows<br/>• Lot 1: The provision and maintenance of a cord blood cell separation system and associated consumables<br/>• Lot 2: The provision and maintenance of system(s) and associated consumables designed to wash, re-suspend haematopoietic cell suspensions <br/>• Lot 3: The provision and maintenance of system(s) and associated consumables designed to volume reduce bone marrow (<600ml).<br/>Supplier materials will require appropriate conformite European (CE) marking up until 30 June 2024 however from 1 July 2024, devices placed on the GB market must be UKCA marked under the UK MDR 2002 as amended https://www.gov.uk/guidance/register-medical-devices-to-place-on-the-market.<br/> Indicators<br/>• Bids may cover parts or the whole contract.<br/>• Award on basis of price and quality.<br/>This UK Framework Agreement is for a period of 2 years with two 1-year options to extend. It is the intention of NHSBT to award a national Framework Agreement for these requirements by June 2023. The following contracting authorities will be able to purchase against the Framework Agreement: any NHS Authority or Trust, Welsh Blood Service and Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service.
