<p>Due to the impact of the COVID pandemic and current staffing vacancies, the Internal Audit team has not able to deliver its planned level of schools' audits in recent years.</p> <p>In order to address the backlog in school audits and to ensure that The Borough Council of Bolton (the “Council”) has adequate audit coverage to reach an assurance opinion on the operation of internal controls in schools, the Council plan to outsource an element of school audit work on a one-off basis.</p> <p>A budget of £35,000 has been identified, and it is proposed to source external support to a maximum of this value by inviting competitive quotations.</p> <p>Please return the Document to be Returned, detailing how you can meet the criteria in the attached Specification by email to internalaudit@bolton.gov.uk no later than 23:59 hours on 27 January 2023.</p> Keywords: External Support, Financial Processes, Schools, Assurance, Internal Audit
