Tender description

University of Galway wishes to invite tenders for the provision of Pathway Centre for the delivery of pathway programs to support direct recruitment and the progression of international students in to the University of Galway’s undergraduate and taught masters programmes. The provider will:Create an embedded Pathway Centre in the Educational Space for the delivery of but not exclusive to international certificate programs, pre-masters programs and diploma programs.Develop an attractive pathway curriculum, with appropriate courses, which are suitable to both institution and the market.Recruit suitably qualified international students onto these programs Recruit qualified sessional staff which will be employed by the Pathway Centre and approved by University of Galway staffTeach Pathway Programs to an agreed quality standard.The Pathway Centre provider will source an educational space close to the University of Galway suitable for education purposes. The space will be a separate entity to the applicant. University of Galway staff will assist with sourcing suitable space by providing local knowledge and insights. While it is envisaged that the Pathway Centre will be located off campus at location near University of Galway at a cost to the Pathway provider (pathway provider sources and refits a suitable building off campus) it is hoped in the future that a space may be found on campus. Pathway students will be given access to agreed University of Galway facilities. Tenderers will be expected to demonstrate that they have the marketing experience, extensive outreach and agent networks to reach the global market for pathway programmes and recruit appropriately qualified students from a diversity of source countries, and a proven track record to deliver high-quality programmes and student support services which will result in strong progression rates which will meet the University’s ambitious targets for international student recruitment through this channel.
