Tender description

This tender is for the stabilisation and conservation of Mountgarrett Castle. It is a continuation of Phase 1, 2021, and includes completion of works to the east wall, northwest corner, and north wall. Works will incorporate reinstatement of stonework, repair of openings, stitching of cracks repointing etc. Traditional stonemason build techniques will be adopted using lime mortar. The castle is a recorded monument and proposals are approved by the National Monuments Service.
